Doggy Freedom Fund

Outdoor chained dogs often live a very poor quality of life- lacking freedom to roam and exercise, while being exposed to harsh weather extremes. While we work to improve current Mississippi laws to forbid the long-term chaining of dogs, we hope to make the lives of these dogs a little better in the meantime.

With a grant from the Petco Foundation, we will be able to provide free spay/neuter services to these dogs to prevent more animals born into the streets.

With your help, we would like to raise $2,000 in order to help outdoor chained dogs with the following items as needed:

Can of spray insulation to weatherize dog houses- $3

Shallow water bucket that can be hung up to avoid tipping: $5

Hay to cover muddy areas and keep paws dry- $10 per bale

Cedar or Pine shavings for clean, dry bedding that resists fleas- $12 per bag

Nylon Collar- $10 each

Metal stakes to hold down chicken wire: $10 per pack

50ft roll of chicken wire to reinforce an existing fence and keep dogs from escaping: $20

A safe and sturdy aerial dog run and tether: average $50 each

A dog house to provide protection from the elements : average $60 each

10x10 fenced dog yard for situations where a run is not feasible: $180
