Shelter Outreach Services (SOS)
for Mississippi Animals

      SPAN will kick off its new project, Shelter Outreach Services, in April.  The SOS team of skilled veterinarians, technicians and dedicated volunteers will work together with local animal welfare organizations to bring low-cost, high-quality, high-volume spay and neuter to Mississippi animals.

      The Little Fix Rig, a mobile surgical trailer that is smaller than the Big Fix Rig (only 22 feet), will be available for the SOS program.  The first locations for the SOS and the Little Fix Rig will be in Forrest, Pearl River and Wayne Counties and surrounding areas.  Surgeries will be performed on both cats and dogs.
