SPAN Workshops

    SPAN held six workshops in 2006, two in each of the three regions. This series of workshops, Taking Action for Animals, was sponsored by Kenneth A. Scott Charitable Trust and were held in Brookhaven, Vicksburg, Grenada, Hattiesburg, Columbus and Raymond Mississippi. The topics were how to start a non-profit; fundraising, grantwriting and resources; starting a successful TNR program; organizing with Filemaker Pro; and animal cruelty. We received much positive feedback from these workshops and hope to organize more in the future.
