    A: My mother informed me

Q: With so many great organizations to support, why should others support Mississippi Spay and Neuter?
A: Because the service provided helps prevent unwanted animals that would either end up in a shelter, on the side of the road, or dead.

Q: Without access to affordable spay/neuter, what would you have done? Who/what would have suffered?
A: I would have still gotten her fixed but it would have taken me longer to come up with the money. She was in heat when I took her in so there is a good chance she would have had a litter before I could have taken her in.

Q: What is the animal's life like now?
A: She is so full of energy its unbelievable. She loves to climb on anything and everything. The higher she can get the better
  • Christy McCardel
Q: Do you remember the first time you saw the animal? What was their physical and emotional state like?
A: She was just a kitten that was given to my little sister. She was very friendly. Spent the whole night riding around on my shoulder. I immediately volunteered to take her when they decided she needed to be rehomed.

Q: Tell us about a specific animal or animals who used our services.
A: Tiger lily is the only animal that I have had fixed. She is a loving little ball of energy. Well, maybe not so little anymore.

Q: Is there anything else you would like to share?
A: This will be a personal negative and something I’ve wanted to say since I had Bubbie neutered: IT IS ALWAYS APPROPRIATE TO GIVE A HEADS-UP ABOUT AN ANIMAL PRONE TO VIOLENCE.

Q: How did you learn about spay and neuter and its importance? Was there a life event that changed your views?
A: I’ve been around a long time. These days I don’t see all those mangled bodies on the streets and highways of Mississippi that grieved me so as a youngster and younger adult. That is a great blessing and shows how well spay/neuter works.

Q: With so many great organizations to support, why should others support Mississippi Spay and Neuter?
A: It’s right here! Does a great job, too!

Q: Without access to affordable spay/neuter, what would you have done? Who/what would have suffered?
A: My animals would not have been neutered, I could not and cannot afford that, but I would have done my best to not have them reproduce. I also couldn’t keep intact male cats in my house. I would be very limited in the number of animals I can keep.
  • Judy Sanders
Q: What is the animal's life like now?
A: Strange as ever! Nice and fat.
  • Judy Sanders
Q: Do you remember the first time you saw the animal? What was their physical and emotional state like?
A: Shivering and living in the grass on the shoulder of the street. Not too very skinny, not real friendly. Had to use a crate and a can of tuna.

Q: Tell us about a specific animal or animals who used our services.
A: Bubbie was the last one neutered. He was a save from the street in front of my house this January. Kind of cold then! Two month old kitten. Bubbie is the oddest cat in personality I’ve ever had and I’ve had many beloved cats. He wants to love you, but wants to be aggressive when he does. Ouch! He is very gorgeous, almost Persian-looking with the shorter rounded ears and shorter tail, but medium plush hair. He isn’t active, which I think is weird for his young age. He never thought a thing about his neuter.
  • Judy Sanders
Q: What do you wish that other people knew about us?
A: None of my neutered animals had any problems afterward.

Q: How did you learn about spay and neuter and its importance? Was there a life event that changed your views?
A: I was just searching the internet for low cost options. I wanted to make sure that our baby was fixed and was up to date on all vaccinations. I now know with that cold little nose that she is healthy and well cared for.

Q: With so many great organizations to support, why should others support Mississippi Spay and Neuter?
A: This is helping all about the love of our four-legged friends. They deserve the love and comfort. All animals have to be cared for and loved at all times. I know this baby will have even if we do not. Support is crucial to forever care for the beautiful animals.

Q: Without access to affordable spay/neuter, what would you have done? Who/what would have suffered?
A: My spouse and I are totally disabled and on a very and I mean VERY tight budget. If it were not for the affordable options for shots etc, Sweepee would not have gotten the proper medical care she so rightly deserved.

Q: Without access to affordable spay/neuter, what would you have done? Who/what would have suffered?
A: If I wouldn’t have been able to bring her here, she would have had to wait to be spayed and there was no way I could of afforded it at the time … both her and I would’ve suffered .. me financially and her going into heat
  • Wayne Curtis
Q: Do you remember the first time you saw the animal? What was their physical and emotional state like?
A: She was abandoned at two months and was found in a trash pile trying to find something to eat. She has certainly fattened up since those dark days. She was so excited with her wet kisses, and still is to this day, to have been rescued.
