  • Goldie Faircloth
Q: With so many great organizations to support, why should others support Mississippi Spay and Neuter?
    A: Y’all Rock!

    A: That y’all exist!
  • Brenda Stone
Q: How did you learn about spay and neuter and its importance? Was there a life event that changed your views?
A: I started volunteering at a local shelter/rescue several years ago. I also am actively involved in the actual rescue on the ground.
I’m on the frontline of this war and I KNOW.

Q: What do you wish that other people knew about us?
A: You guys are much more cost-effective than taking a pet for spay/neuter anywhere else. Some female pets may contract a potentially fatal condition if spaying is delayed or put off. Saving my pet from this condition cost me $700 because I put off paying $50 at MSSPAN .

Q: With so many great organizations to support, why should others support Mississippi Spay and Neuter?
A: When you spay, neuter and adopt, the trickle down effect in rescue is priceless. You eliminate the problem before it exists. There are countless
unwanted, abused and neglected animals everywhere.
  • Brenda Stone
Q: Without access to affordable spay/neuter, what would you have done? Who/what would have suffered?
A: Without your help, this poor woman would have been overrun with cats. She and the cats both
    would have been miserable.
  • Brenda Stone
Q: What is the animal's life like now?
A: They live happily at this woman’s home. I made them a feral cat house with totes, insulation, etc.
  • Brenda Stone
Q: Do you remember the first time you saw the animal? What was their physical and emotional state like?
A: In that case, the adult cats were all feral.
  • Brenda Stone
Q: Tell us about a specific animal or animals who used our services.
A: An elderly friend reached out to me for help. Someone had dropped off several cats at her home and they started reproducing FAST! I was finally able to reduce her population to four who were all spayed and neutered. I accomplished this with your vouchers locally and a trip there on a Thursday.
  • Brenda Stone
Q: What do you wish that other people knew about us?
A: I wish they knew about the great services you provide. When I come there on Feral Cat Thursdays,
I feel as if I won the lottery.

Q: When did you first hear about MS SPAN and/or the Big Fix Clinic?
A: I honestly can’t remember. I am part of the rescue community and your name and number have been instilled in my
DNA for years. I have taken advantage of both your voucher program and actually traveled many miles to come
with feral cats on Thursdays. With your help, I have made a small dent in the cat population here in the Delta. I often
share your benefits with people. Hope to see you again soon on another Thursday ! Keep up the good work! SPAY! NEUTER! ADOPT!

Q: Is there anything else you would like to share?
A: If there is a need in the future I will go no where else but your organization for spay/neuter needs
  • Cindy Vance
Q: How did you learn about spay and neuter and its importance? Was there a life event that changed your views?
A: I think a coworker told me about your services when I needed to have a newly acquired animal fixed
  • Cindy Vance
Q: With so many great organizations to support, why should others support Mississippi Spay and Neuter?
A: Because your organization can help tremendously in the fight to lower thunwanted animal populations which seem to be growing as far as seeing overfilled shelters having to turn away those desperately needing help
  • Cindy Vance
Q: Without access to affordable spay/neuter, what would you have done? Who/what would have suffered?
A: I would have still spayed/neutered but with restraints on soon I could do it and how to pay for it. With your services each one was spayed/neutered as soon as they came of age and/or we acquired them.
  • Cindy Vance
Q: What is the animal's life like now?
A: 10 of them are still in the family and are doing great!
  • Cindy Vance
Q: Do you remember the first time you saw the animal? What was their physical and emotional state like?
A: Physically they were all in great condition. A few maybe still a little “wobbly “ due to anesthesia but never had a problem at all
