Q: Tell us about a specific animal or animals who used our services.
A: I had 7 fur babies, they are all neutered or spayed now. I have very small dogs up to large ones and had 2 cats at the time. I was very concerned about getting my miniature Chi neutered, but they took very good care of him.

Q: With so many great organizations to support, why should others support Mississippi Spay and Neuter?
A: I for one do not know any “great organizations” to /that help. If your paying bracket isn’t just right they can’t help you. If you don’t live in their county they can’t help; so why help them? If money wasn’t always so tight I’d help more than just “word of mouth.”
  • Kathryn Wortman
Q: What do you wish that other people knew about us?
A: I wish everyone would know how friendly and caring you are to all the fur babies. How helpful you are in answering questions and updating your clients on how to go about having our fur babies neutered or spayed. That you show a video about the hows and whys and what to do when you take them home.
I also would like them to know if they want to give back that you have a fund raiser each year to raise awareness and funds to take care of the fur babies. (get with the Big Fix about this) This is wonderful event, you get a great meal and have a chance to bid on some really great items.

Q: How did you learn about spay and neuter and its importance? Was there a life event that changed your views?
A: No, not really. When we moved into our home, we had 2 house cats. Others started “appearing” I knew that I could not have them all inside, but knew I wanted to help take care of them. I researched affordable “spay/neuter” in my local area

Q: Do you remember the first time you saw the animal? What was their physical and emotional state like?
A: don’t understand this Q. Ive had 9 of 12 cats there all my pets. . . .in reference to what?
  • Christy Huey
Q: Without access to affordable spay/neuter, what would you have done? Who/what would have suffered?
A: The cats would probably have had to have gone to the pound. The cats definitely would have suffered! They would have re-produced and we could not have supported all of the offspring. I often tell the strays that come to my house “I will feed you, but you cannot have babies!”

Q: Without access to affordable spay/neuter, what would you have done? Who/what would have suffered?
A: The cats would still get spayed and neutered, but it would have cost much more and been harder on our finances.
