Q: Tell us about a specific animal or animals who used our services. A: You have fixed at least 10-12 of the cats that I have fed over the years. One feral cat, Festus, in particular was one of the meanest cats around. After he was fixed and over the years has been the most loving of all of my cats.

Q: Without access to affordable spay/neuter, what would you have done? Who/what would have suffered? A: We would have still gotten her fixed at her regular vet clinic, but it definitely would have put a financial strain on us. My fiancé and I are both college students, and we struggle enough with her regular vet bills. However, we strongly believe spaying/neutering pets is a basic act of pet care, such as providing food, water, exercise, vaccines, etc. so it would have had to be done one way or he other.

Q: With so many great organizations to support, why should others support Mississippi Spay and Neuter? A: If you have money to donate, put it into this organization. There are too many animals on the streets due to neglect and not fixing your pets.

Q: Do you remember the first time you saw the animal? What was their physical and emotional state like? A: Since most were rescues, they have all been covered in fleas, full of parasites and starving. They are always so excited to see food, but not so much the flea spray ;)

Q: Without access to affordable spay/neuter, what would you have done? Who/what would have suffered? A: I would’ve had to wait even longer to get the process done. Neutering is not a cheap service, so thanks to Big Fix I was able to have it done at an affordable price.

Q: Tell us about a specific animal or animals who used our services. A: Most of the animals I’ve brought in are rescues that we’ve found on the streets. I love that I can bring them in (dogs or cats) and have them fixed. I know for a fact that those animals will never add to overpopulation problems due to neglectful owners.

Q: Tell us about a specific animal or animals who used our services. A: We had our husky/German Shepherd mix fixed roughly a year ago. Along with getting her fixed, we also had her microchipped. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and they were so sweet and patient with our girl. We were both very nervous about her surgery, but we knew when we dropped her off that she was in good hands.
