The past few weeks have been both the most gratifying and the most dismal time in MS Spay & Neuter’s 14 years. We have finally made the move into our new facility. Yet, it is heartbreaking that our courageous and influential founder, teacher and fearless leader, Elaine Adair, just two and a half weeks ago, lost her brave battle with MDS, a rare form of blood cancer.

Elaine’s presence is and will continue to be missed at MS SPAN, within our state and in the animal world altogether. She was a pioneer in the field of spay and neuter, and her dedication to her work and to all creatures was above all else. MS SPAN’s Board of Directors, management and staff will carry on her mission with as much vigor as she did, in her honor.
