Q: How did you learn about spay/neuter and its importance? Was there a life event that changed your views?
A: Thru a co-worker who told me what a great facility it is and such a crusade to help people and animals!

Q: With so many great organizations to support, why should others support spay and neuter?
A: Because it saves animals lives, cuts down on the pet population that most times can not be cared for correctly..

Q: What is the animal's life like now?
A: A lot better!!

Q: Do you remember the first time you saw the animal? What was their physical and emotional state like?
A: My dog came from my niece in Atlanta.

Q: Tell us about a specific animal or animals who have used our services.
A: Miss Pixie Styx our Chihuahua! She was fixed when she was about 8 months old. She is a character, full of energy, and loves to play! She is scared of her little bark and loves to cuddle. She is awesome!

Q: What do you wish that other people knew about us?
A: All that was stated it the prior question.

A: I had another dog before that I did not get fixed. She developed some tumors and others health ailments that eventually caused us to have to have her put to sleep. Cinder was 16 and our baby! We never thought we could get thru and get another dog. Long story short- I always say, but we did. When we got Miss Pixie Styx one of our first priorities was to have her fixed. Also, of course, it is cheap and thru the whole process everyone in the office was very informative. Also, It helps prevent unneeded pregnancies, abandoned animals, starved animals, etc.

A: A few months ago from a person I work with.

A: to help the lives of all animals and help pet owners get their animals neutered or spayed.

Q: What is the animal's life like now?
A: she has a happy family life. she lives inside and is a buddy to the older dog the family already had.

Q: Do you remember the first time you saw the animal? What was their physical and emotional state like?
A: the dog looked great happy and friendly not skittish like she was at first

A: I referred a friend who found a stray dog and after she could not find an owner decided to keep her but she couldn’t afford to get her spayed

A: you are helping with the horrible number of animals being euthinized

A: My daughter told me there was one in Jackson area so i checked on google

Q: How did you learn about spay/neuter and its importance? Was there a life event that changed your views?
A: I have been involved in animal rescue and humane education for over 40 years. I have been in the trenches seeing animals who are abused, neglected and watched strays foraging for food on the road-side. I have sat in a concrete kennel holding a puppy drawing it’s final breath. Spaying and neutering is the best way to end the suffering and to create a better community for animals and people.

Q: With so many great organizations to support, why should others support spay and neuter?
A: Spaying and neutering helps prevent litters and will help with the life of our pets.

Q: What do you wish that other people knew about us?
A: MSSPAN provides a wonderful resource to pet owners by providing a safe, affordable means to alter companion animals in Mississippi. They are well thought of in the area and are an excellent resource for other organizations who are also working to help end the overpopulation crisis. They have been a great source of information for us as we venture into mobile spay/neuter territory!

Q: What attracted you to our cause?
A: I believe that one of the major means to help end pet overpopulation is spaying and neutering. This with good legislation will be a winning situation for our community (people and pets both)

Q: When did you first hear about MS SPAN and/or the Big Fix Clinic?
A: Oh – many, many years ago – When you had the big 18 wheeler going around to different locations.

Q: What attracted you to our cause?
A: I think it is a very worthy cause. Too many people do not neuter their animals from ignorance or they may not have the means to do so.

A: I am sorry but I do not remember but it was just last year.
