MS SPAN (Mississippi SPay And Neuter) is the first significant collaboration of non-profit, animal welfare organizations from across the state of Mississippi. Each year, hundreds of thousands of unwanted dogs and cats are euthanized at shelters across Mississippi – including purebreds! Many unwanted animals result from accidental breeding by free-roaming, unaltered pets.

     SPAN's aim is to stop the killing by preventing the births of so many unwanted dogs and cats.
